Upper Dublin Youth Football Club (flag & tackle) is for players 4-14 years old and open to girls and boys from any area.

Tackle:  (7u, 9u, 11u) $350

- UDYFC is working in collaboration with Upper Dublin Sandy Run Middle School so players have the opportunity to play for both UDYFC and middle school during the season.

- Both programs will be coordinating practice and game schedules so players receive optimal workouts to ensure that there is no overlap between programs.

- The goal of this collaboration is to provide ample practice time and down time to ensure 13u players can play for both UDYFC and middle school.  

Flag: $170 (4-6 years old. Child cannot be 7 years old in the calendar year 2024).

Our youth flag football is an intramural flag program for children ages 4-6 (must turn 4 during the season year and cannot turn 7 during the season year) with all practices and games held at SPARK Field. Teams will have one practice and one game each week.

Players will work on developing technical skills such as passing, catching, flag pulling and communication. Fun games and scrimmages are used to incorporate new skills that the players learn.

 

Each player will receive a reversible Upper Dublin Flag jersey of their own. The Flag season ends with a trophy presentation and pizza party for the kids.

Our tackle program belongs to the Keystone State League (KSL) and is currently one of the largest organizations in the league. In a typical year, we are proud to be able to field multiple teams for each weight class in the KSL, for ages 6-14. By having multiple teams of 16-20 players per team at each weight class, it enables us to separate teams according to experience and skill level so all the kids can have a positive experience. Our top team plays in the American conference, while are 2nd and 3rd teams at each weight class play a JV type schedule versus other teams with younger and inexperienced players. Summer Camp (Tackle) Camp begins early August and are held Monday through Thursday from 6-8pm. Attending camp will begin to condition the child to playing a contact sport. This is also the time that the coaches work with the kids to develop and assure proper techniques are being used on the playing field. Once school starts practices are reduced to two nights a week with a game a week. All practices are at SPARK Field.

The first regular season game is 1-2 weeks after Labor Day and the season finishes in late November, depending on playoff scenarios. Most games are held on Saturday's, but there is a possibility for Friday night or Sunday games. All home games are at SPARK Field.

All coaches (Flag & Tackle) must pass a comprehensive background checks and be certified with USA Football's Heads Up Program. The Heads Up Football is a comprehensive program developed by USA Football to advance player safety.

Our coaches work directly with the Upper Dublin High School coaches to ensure we are teaching the proper fundamentals to the children. Our youth program runs many of the same schemes as the High School, but at a simplified level for the youth players to help make the transition into the High School easier when kids get older.

Upper Dublin Youth Football provides a multi piece pad set for all tackle kids including helmet, shoulder pads and pants which must be returned once the season comes to an end. All players will also receive and be able to keep a game jersey personalized with their last name on the back. The only equipment not provided by UDJAA are cleats, mouth piece, athletic supporter & cup.
